What we collect
- Truck owners and staff: phone number, the texts you send us and our replies, your truck's name, menu, spots and hours, when you confirmed your number, and your consent to get texts (time and wording).
- People using the map: no account. If you share your location, it's used in your browser to sort trucks and is not stored. We count page views per truck per day (no names, no IPs kept in those counts).
- Listings we add before a truck joins ("unclaimed"): name, cuisine and public links only. Never a location, hours or "open now".
What's public
Your truck's name, food, menu, today's spot and hours, and weekly schedule. Never your phone number, your texts, or any internal notes.
How your texts are read
Software, including AI, reads your texts to update your pin. Reply FIX if it gets it wrong. Your texts are read by Cloudflare Workers AI (running on Cloudflare, the company that hosts Trucks Today) and by simple built-in rules. We don't use your texts to train AI models, and no other AI company gets them.
Clicks and deleting your truck
We count taps on pins, cards, truck pages and "See on Google" as daily totals per truck. No personal data is attached. If you delete your truck, we keep those anonymous totals but remove your truck's name, brand and ID from them (the ID is replaced with a one-way code). If you'd rather we not show the public phone number on an unclaimed listing, email support@truckstoday.app and we'll hide it.
Texts
We text you confirmations of your updates and about one morning heads-up per scheduled day. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help. We keep your number on our opt-out list so we can honor STOP.
Who we share with
Our text provider (to deliver texts), Cloudflare (hosting), and OpenStreetMap-based geocoding (the place names you text, never your number). We don't sell data. Apps that use our public API/MCP see only public listing data.
Your controls
- Text my data for a one-time download of everything we have for your truck.
- Text delete my truck and tap the link to delete your truck, schedule, phones and texts. We keep a minimal audit record and the opt-out list.
Retention
Texts: kept while your truck is listed; daily backups are kept for 30 days. Deleted trucks drop out of backups within 30 days.
